Sourcing & Screening Specialist
- Search for candidates on job boards, LinkedIn, Facebook Jobs,
and WUZZUF.
- Post job openings on career pages, social media, and job
portals.
- Keep a simple, organized list of candidates for common roles
(e.g., sales, instructors, trainers).
- Review CVs and applications to check they meet the basic job
requirements.
- Make first-round phone calls to ask candidates simple screening
questions.
- Pass along qualified candidates to the hiring manager for the
next interview.
- Help with high-volume hiring days, such as when many similar
roles need to be filled at once.
- Assist with scheduling and organizing group interviews or
walk-in hiring events.
- Keep track of how many candidates were contacted, screened, and
shortlisted.
- Schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Follow up with candidates and keep them updated on their
application status.
- Answer basic candidate questions about the role and next steps.
- Enter and update candidate information in the Applicant Tracking
System (ATS).
- Help prepare simple weekly updates on hiring progress for the
manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration,
Education, or a related field.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in recruitment, sourcing, or HR — internships
count.
- Any experience with high-volume hiring or in the education
sector is a plus.
- Basic understanding of how recruitment and sourcing work.
- Comfortable using LinkedIn and job boards to search for people.
- Basic computer skills (Excel/Google Sheets, email).
- Good communication skills, spoken and written.
- Organized and able to keep track of many candidates at once.
- Willing to learn and take feedback from the team.
- Comfortable with repetitive, high-volume daily tasks.
